Native Plant Seminar and Plant Sale

The Extension Master Gardener Volunteers of  Brunswick County announce  their Native Plant Seminar and Native Plant Sale on May 17-18, 2019. Both the seminar and sale will be held at the Brunswick County Government Center, 25 Referendum Drive, Building N in Bolivia.

The Native Plant Seminar starts at 8:30AM on Friday May 17 with Dr Paul Hosier author
of ‘Seacoast Plants of the Carolinas and Rebecca Skiba, Education Specialist, NC Wildlife
Resources Commission. Seminar attendees will be given an early shopping opportunity. There
is no cost to attend the seminar but registration is required as space is limited.

The Native Plant Sale is open from 1 – 4PM on Friday May 17 and from 9AM-Noon on Saturday May 18. The sale features a large selection of native perennials and shrubs beneficial to butterflies, pollinators, and birds. This sale offers one of the largest selections of popular native and pollinator plants in the area with Milkweeds, Coral
Honeysuckle, Coastal Joe Pye, Bee Balm, Native Viburnum, various Coneflowers and buffer
zone plants.
