Ilex vomitoria ‘Bordeaux’| Dwarf Yaupon Holly Bordeaux®

Bordeaux^®  Yaupon Holly is primarily valued for its interestingly mounded form. Small, burgundy leaves emerge in spring and then turn a gray/silver. Leaves once again turn reddish during freezing weather. Yaupon holly is one of the most durable and adaptable of the small-leaved evergreen hollies. It grows well throughout its range. The non-showy male and female flowers appear on separate plants and are followed on the female plants by the production of brilliant red berries (yellow on some cultivars) which are quite attractive to wildlife. The flowers attract bees for several weeks. Easy and durable. Low Maintenance. It grows at a medium rate, and under ideal conditions can be expected to live for approximately 15 years.
